Hello and happy new year!
2017 was another jam packed year performing at some stunningly beautiful venues and locations and travelling to France, Holland, India, Greece, Romania, Finland and Switzerland. Festival Interceltique Lorient was an incredible week and I had the privilege of joining Capercaillie on stage for a set there, and being featured in Le Monde. Other highlights include a short tour in the highlands with Duncan Chisholm and filming for the new series of Port with Julie Fowlis and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. In the autumn I travelled to Transylvania (yes, it is a real place) for a month long artist residency in a remote and mountainous village to compose some new material, before finally coming back to Glasgow to graduate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland... at long last.
In December I had the privilege of visiting Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya with musician and travel buddy Murray Willis. Founded in November 2002, the school is located in a quiet valley near the city of Dharwad in Karnataka, South India. It provides underprivileged children with free healthcare, education, food and accommodation and places a unique and important emphasis on the tuition of traditional Indian music and dance, to an exceptionally high standard. We met some incredibly inspiring musicians and children during our time there and hope to go back very soon.

goodbye
I'll leave you with a clip from the latest series of Alleluia. I was delighted to be featured in three episodes alongside some wonderfully talented musicians.
Wishing you all the very best for a happy and healthy 2018!
